Surgery, house drama, and all around feeling sorry for oneself
I have found three houses that I loved.  One  house I put an offer on and the seller than comes back with owe did we forget to mention there is an ADDITIONAL assessment on top of the assessment already mentioned?  Oh and that second assessment is a builder's assessment...so it goes up every year.  Yeah so that's $200+ a month plus the mortgage.  Sorry we didn't share that information before you placed a bid.  Oops we are so bad.  No, we won't go lower...are you out of your mind?

Second home didn't even have the decency to call my wonderful real estate angel back.  When they finally did, a week later, they acted like we were being ridiculous for being upset that we didn't get any return phone calls.  Plus, they won't budge on the asking price...why?  Because they don't wanna.  Umm dudes...your house has been on the market forever and a day....but that's ok...hold out of the gold.  Good luck on that.

The third house...everything was signed sealed and delivered.  Great price, great location, I was happy. Than my finance guy says 'oh didn't I tell you with 100% financing YOU have to pay the points.  So yeah...the seller will only go so far with that...so I have to come up with $2500.00 more than what I already have.  Yeah so raman noodles for dinner for the next two months.  It's doable but so long getting anything new for the house.  Who has this kind of money that you need anymore?  I mean seriously.

Plus, I had oral surgery yesterday.  Two teeth pulled, an implant installed and two teeth lengthened (which feels like  hell times infinity).  The viocodin isn't helping as much as I would like.  So between this and the stress of the house...yeahhh. ummm yeahh.

Oh shit girl! So sorry about the third house. I "HATE" when the "forget" to tell you shit that's, you know, IMPORTANT! In the meantime, I have a coupon for Raman noodles. *smirk*. Will they hold onto the house until you get the $2500? You should call the finance guy and ask him if he's "forgotton" to tell you anything else that might impact your wallet.

As for the teeth project. I'm so sorry you're in pain. What the hell do they do to "lengthen" your teeth? It's so cliche and I hope you chuckle at it, but I suppose that in this case, no pain, no gain? Ok, my bad.

So do your teeth look different now? I can't wait to see your dazzling smile!

My teeth don't look any different and actually probably never will. All the work that is being done is on the sides, so you can't tell to begin with (thank God or otherwise I would look really hellish). Right now it is almost 6:00 am two days after the surgery and I look and feel worse than I did the day of surgery. My chin is killing me (not sure why on that one). They cut down the gum line on the teeth that need to be lenghtened so this way caps will fit on them better. I usually handle pain pretty well (snicker) but this is really kicking my ass. Plus, my lips were already REALLY chapped going into this and now I look like something out of a horror movie. LOL

Well the third house thankfully didn't have any other offers and the seller's real estate agent has been a peach and I even said look just give me half of the 2500. Let's split it and she won't which I just think is shitty. Her agent told my agent the seller needed to sell within the next 60 days or she would have to rent it out because she couldnt' afford the two houses that she had. Hello!!!!!!! These people are missing out that it is supposed to be a BUYER'S market but whatever. I am meeting with my finance guy tomorrow to make sure everything is good to go and that I won't get hit with anymore suprise fees. Ugggh. What drives me the most nuts here though is that I had a down payment but there was an old car which was repossessed back in the days when my ex-husband (Mr. Loser) was in my life. I had made the mistake of thinking he was responsible for that and the taxes and than I ended up having to pay our tax bill off so I was like "screw this I am not paying that car note off" and low and behold...I had to pay it off to get the house. I told the finance guy it was one or the other and he said "100% won't be a problem"...well sure...as long as you have SOME money for points. So I have 1k of it and by the time I close with all my Osco checks, I can make up the difference but that money was going to be new furniture and stuff. So ok I am a realist. It will be called renting a Rug Doctor and cleaning the old furniture but ya know...it was just a dream LOL

I am sorry that the realtor person won't work with you. Of course you could just continue to look for something else and just say "F U" and move on. It's a buyers market though right now, though it sounds like the realtor just doesn't want to forego any money. I'm told that a lot of places will eat the points just to sell a domicile these days, but what do I know, I rent!

I'm sorry about your mouth hurting. Your jaw probably hurts from the novacaine sticks, because they go deep. On the other hand, could it be from the implant? Do you want me to send you some chapstick? I still have some left from the wedding.

I understand wanting new furniture. New place = new furniture. I'm so deathly tired of my furniture and I had hoped when I got a job to be able to go and buy some new stuff, but my pay is nearly $200 less a week than what I was making when I worked at Wyeth. I'm not sure how I'm going to get caught up on bills and stuff and still save money for those "what if's". Right now I'm worried about the van. It's starting to feel it's age and with gas and oil prices so high I know that we need to buy a more economical car. We'd keep the van and use it for trips and such, but we really need something that gets better gas milage for the daily commute.

I'm drifting though. For now give it some time. I've no doubt that in a few or six months you'll be able to get new furniture and who knows, by then you will find the perfect thing to "fit" your new home. Do you have pictures of the new place?

Actually I was completely knocked out for the surgery. There was no way they could have done what they had to do with novocane (they had to remove two root canals that had failed) so gapping holes in my mouth for sure.

I don't blame the realtor at all on this. The seller owns another home and I think she is stuck between a rock and a hard place. They say it is a buyer's market but honestly, I just don't see that. I have less than 60 days to get out of my apartment and right now, there is nothing us on the market of where I want to live that I like. I am meeting with my finance guy tomorrow to get some final answers and see if this is even worth it anymore. I really want a house but I dunno...I am just depressed about how everything is turning out and not thinking things clearly with the drugs I am on LOL.
